SORS Rulebook
2008 Fall Season
INTRODUCTION
Welcome to Sim Online Racing Series (SORS). We are glad you have
chosen to compete in one of the longest running online racing leagues on the
net today! Our many years of experience in running an online racing league will
provide you with the most intense racing you have ever experienced. This is the
place where you will race for CASH week in and week out. We have 4 racing
series to run in. There is something here for everybody, not to mention the
friends you will make along the way. You are in for a great time. This is the
place where simulation becomes reality!
Participation requires a copy
of “NASCAR 2003 Season” by Papyrus/Sierra.
In addition, you will need to make sure you have the current patch
version and any “Mods” installed as determined by
SORS. Additional tracks may also need to be downloaded. More information on all
this will be presented in this rulebook and/or the member’s private forums.
Participants must use a legally obtained copy of all software. Any participant
using illegal software will be suspended until legal issues are resolved. Any
participant convicted of copyright violations will be permanently expelled from
SORS and all fees will be forfeit. However, any outstanding fines will remain
owing and due. SORS does not issue refunds for any reason!
SORS will also require that
you download RaceServer.Net’s rsClient software and
establish an account with them. The rsClient software
is an anti-cheat program. It is recommended that you fully install and test
this software on your machine before buying a SORS license.
NOTE: If this is
your first time racing at SORS, you are required to paint a yellow “rookie”
stripes on the bumper of your car. Once you have completed 80% of a season you
may then remove the stripes from you vehicle.
LEAGUE ADMINISTRATORS
Dennis Putnam, Jr. – CEO/CFO
Ron McGrane – VP of Race Operations
Henry Montgerard – Website Development / Webmaster / General League
Admin.
Scott Ehlers – General League Admin.
I. MEMBERSHIP
OBLIGATIONS
1.
Becoming a member of the League implies agreement
to abide by all the rules and regulations as well as the TERMS AND CONDITIONS. Since there
cannot be a rule for every situation, League Administrators reserve the right
to resolve all disputes.
2.
The Administrators are the final arbiters
of any dispute or rule violation and their decisions may not be questioned or
criticized publicly. Any member disagreeing with a decision must nonetheless
abide by it or forfeit membership.
3.
The Administrators reserve the right to
change the rules during the course of the season as they see fit. However, rule changes will be kept to a
minimum and only adjusted if it is felt that the quality of the racing would improve
as a result. Any mid-season rule changes
require a unanimous vote by the Administrators.
4.
Any rule violations can result in a
suspension for 1 or more races, monetary fines, suspension for the season or
permanent expulsion from the League as determined by the Administrators. In the
event of season suspension or expulsion, any membership fees will be forfeited.
Any payments not yet made will be considered due and owing. Failure to make
payments, even after suspension or expulsion, will result in notification of
credit agencies, negatively effecting credit ratings.
5.
In addition to penalties expressly
specified in the rules, any two Administrators can issue a 1 race suspension or
monetary fine. At least 3 Administrators are required for a multi-race
suspension. A majority of Administrators are required for a full season
suspension and a unanimous vote is required for expulsion.
6.
Participants are required to maintain
their own equipment, software and internet connection at their own expense.
This includes maintaining a current copy of “NASCAR Racing 2003 Season”, “ARCA Sim Racing” and patches/mods only as determined by SORS. Any participant with
equipment or software that disrupts or otherwise interferes with active races
and/or the server will be suspended until the participant resolves the problem.
7.
Any assessed fines are due prior to the
next race and drivers who have not paid all fines in full are ineligible to
race. All fines are paid via the SORS ATM to SORS Fines.
8.
Any member found cheating in any manner will
be expelled from the League. The entire racing community will also be notified
through the various sim racing forums around the net.
In order to cut down on the possibility of cheating, SORS uses RaceServers.net’s
anti-cheat detection mod (A-CDM). In
order to participate in races, members must download and install the latest RSclient software from RaceServers.net.
9.
By paying the license fee, entrants are
certifying that they are at least 18 years of age and fully understand the
sites TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
10. Participation in SORS requires that members be at
least 18 years of age. It is SORS policy
to occasionally verify its members age by asking for proof. This proof may be
in the form of a driver’s license or birth certificate. This information can be
faxed or mailed to SORS. Failure to provide this information will result in
expulsion form the League. Any owner found hiring a driver under
18 years of age then that owner will be fined 50 credits as well as 50 owner’s
points.
11. Any action deemed by SORS Administration to be
detrimental to SORS, LLC or its members, admins,
associates or sponsors will be grounds for expulsion. This decision is at the SORS admins discretion.
Readmission will be considered if public apology is given, but not
guaranteed.
II. LICENSE FEES AND THE SORS CREDIT BANK
1.
In order to help offset the costs of
operation and to assure that only those who are serious about competing join,
all participants are required to purchase a SORS license. Three license options
are available for purchase:
A. Yearly (12 months): $75.00
B.
Quarterly (3 months): $25.00
C. Monthly (1
month): $10.00
2.
When you join SORS for the first time,
the ONLY
payment method available is through PayPal. NO OTHER PAYMENT METHODS ARE ACCEPTED. PLEASE
DO NO ASK. You will need to setup an account with PayPal in order to
participate. However, once you are an established member, you may then renew
your membership fees via the SORS ATM. Again, only established members can
renew their license fees via the SORS ATM.
3.
When using the SORS ATM to renew license
fees, DO NOT simply transfer the money to SORS License as this will not
activate your account. Once your license has expired you will
see an option in the league manger to renew the license through the ATM. This option is only available if you
currently have funds in your SORS bank account.
You will still have access to your SORS bank account even if your
license has expired, assuming there is money in that account.
4.
The SORS PayPal
ID is billing@sorsracing.net.
(NOTE: This email address is used for paypal only and is not checked)
5.
Once payment has been accepted you will
be given access to the SORS private forums. A separate registration is required
for the forums. There you will find all the race server information. Please
note that you will need to download and install RaceServer.net’s rsClient
software. To activate the rsClient you must email the
following information to dput@bellsouth.net:
A. Your rsClient handle. This can be anything you want it to be.
B.
You first and last name.
C. Your mailing address, including your city, state and
zip code.
D. Phone number.
E.
Age
F.
Once this information is processed you
will be emailed your activation code.
You may also email dput@bellsouth.net
if your rsClient becomes deactivated. However, if your account does become
deactivated you MUST also submit a screen shot from ACDM showing why the
deactivation occurred.
6.
Fees are non-refundable.
7.
If league fees are paid via an e-check through
PayPal
please be aware that it will take 5-7 days for those
fees to clear. Until those fees clear, you will not be able to participate. It
is best to have money available in your PayPal
account at all times to avoid this lengthy delay.
8.
Once you have purchased your license fee,
you must then buy SORS credits through the SORS Credit bank. These credits are used to pay for race entry
fees and any fines. Credits are used to
avoid excessive transaction fees charged by PayPal. 1
SORS Credit = US $1.00. Credits are purchased through PayPal, so
again be sure to have money available. You can withdraw credits back into your PayPal
account at anytime. However, to ensure maximum
security this is a manual procedure performed by the SORS CFO and may take
24-72 hours to process.
9. With regards
to RsClient.
If you are ejected by the client software, you MUST take a screen shot
of the dialog box and email to the V.P. of Race Operations before your account
will be reactived.
III. RACING
SERIES’, ENTRY FEES AND PAYOUTS
1. For
the 2008 fall season, SORS will be running to racing series: Pro Cup and Titan
Racing Cup. The Titan Racing Cup series is a free series open to all SORS
license holders. The Pro Cup Series has
an entry fee that must be paid by the cars owner (owners can be drivers) in
order to qualifying for the race. The entry fees make up the race purse for
that event.
A. Pro
Cup series runs on Wednesday nights with the drivers meeting starting at 8:00
PM EST. The entry fee for this series is 5 credits per race. A Pro Cup car must also be purchased for 20
credits. This money is used to make up
the end of season payout which will go to the top 20 owners in points.
B. The
Titan Cup Racing Series runs on Tuesday nights with the drivers meeting
starting at 8:15 PM EST. This is a free series open to all SORS members with a
valid license. There are no weekly entry fees.
2.
Entry fees are non-refundable, even if you are
unable to run the event. However, you
will still be given owner points just for registering for the event even if you
don’t actually race in it.
3.
The maximum field size for a Pro Cup event is 35.
4.
Entry fees, plus any sponsor contributions, make up the race purse.
SORS distributes 90% of the collected fees.
The number of participants entitled to a share of the purse depends on
the number of entries for the race.
A. The number of positions receiving a portion of the
purse will be one-half the number of entrants up to a maximum of 25.
5.
Criteria for distribution of the purse is
as follows:
A. The percentage of the purse each eligible entrant
receives is based on the following formula:
n-1
S = ∑ .865i
i=0
% Purse = 100*(.865p-1/S)
Where p=finish-position and n=MIN (number-of-pre-qualifiers/2,25)
B.
That
percentage is then multiplied by the total purse to calculate the award for the
position.
6.
The SORS Admins
will sponsor a pole award program (SAPA). They will pay the driver who wins
pole position 5 credits. This is for
race qualifying only, not pre-qualifying. This award is distributed along with
the race credits. This applies to Pro Cup only. NOTE: At least 15 drivers must
participate for the SORS SAPA Award to be in place.
7.
For the full season competitor, there is
a championship point’s competition in each series. In accordance with Appendix A, drivers will
be awarded points for each race. These points are accumulated throughout the
season to determine the series champion. Also, an end of season payout is given
to the top 20 owners in the Pro Cup Series.
Please note that SORS does not use NASCAR’s point system.
8.
In the United States, the laws governing
fee-based events with prizes are set up by each
individual state, not by the federal government. Based on current laws of each
state, SORS cannot offer fee-based races with prizes to residents of the
following states: Arizona, Iowa, Louisiana,
and Vermont. If you elect to participate in a
fee-based race with prizes, you represent and warrant to SORS that you do not
reside in any such state.
IV. QUALIFYING
1.
The field size for any Pro Cup race is limited to 35 drivers.
2.
Qualifying rules are as follows:
A. There
will be a 10 minute warm-up prior to qualifying.
B.
During qualifying NO CHATTING is allowed. Failure to follow this rule
will lead to a 5 credit fine per chat line. It is not until Happy Hour begins
that drivers may congratulate the pole winner.
C. All
drivers are required to save a replay of their qualifying attempt. An admin may
ask for this replay at any point after the race. Failure to provide a replay will result in a
disqualification for that event.
V. DRIVERS MEETING, PARKING LOT AND VENTRILO
1.
All entrants are required to attend the
drivers meeting on the day of their scheduled event.
A. Pro Cup: 8:00 PM EST Thursday
B. Titan Cup Racing Series: 8:15 PM EST Tuesday
2.
Failure to attend the drivers meeting
will result in a 5 credit fine.
Exceptions to this will be allowed if the owner/driver contacts the VP of Race Operations prior to the
event. It is then up to the VP of Race
Operations to allow this person to race or not.
3.
Drivers meetings are held on the SORS Ventrilo Server. This requires each person to download the Ventrilo software. This can be downloaded from http://www.ventrilo.com/. Password to the SORS Ventrilo
Server can be found in the SORS private forum under server info.
4.
SORS also gives access to Ventrilo for team use. This is useful for in-race chat
among team members. If you would like to have a private Ventrilo
team room set up for you team, please contact an Admin. He will need your room
name and a password.
5.
At the end of every race, all drivers
will meet back on Ventrilo in the Parking Lot room.
This is where post-race discussions will be held.
A. Drivers will use this meeting to discuss issues with
other drivers. Open and honest
discussions are expected, but respect and decorum is to be maintained.
VI. SPONSORS
1.
In order to promote sponsorship and
provide a very low price way for companies to advertise. There are restrictions
on applying company logos to cars. Sponsorship is not required to participate.
A. Individual drivers have the responsibility to find
their own sponsors. Generally, drivers ask local business people for
sponsorship in exchange for free advertising. Administrators will occasionally
refer potential sponsors to drivers, but sponsorship agreements are not a
League responsibility.
B.
Only legitimate sponsor logo's cans be
painted on cars. Formal permission from the sponsor must be provided to the SORS CEO before the car paint scheme is
approved. This permission should be submitted to the SORS CEO via email from an address that is
registered to the sponsor (i.e. must be verifiable via the InterNIC
“Whois” database). There is no charge for this but
many drivers have their sponsor pay their entry fees.
2.
Drivers without sponsors will be required
to drive a generically painted car. Driver name or team name is permitted on
the car, but not company logos.
VII. PRO CUP SERIES
1.
The Pro Cup Series is considered the top
racing series in SORS. Because fees and
payouts are part of the competition, the rules are strictly enforced. The events are held on Thursday nights with
the drivers meeting starting at 8:00 PM EST.
2.
The entrance fee for all Pro Cup races is
5 credits. 90% of this fee along with any sponsor contributions makes up the
race purse. This fee is non-refundable even if the driver does not qualify for
the race. Purse distribution will be in accordance to the RACING SERIES’,
ENTRY FEES AND PAYOUTS Section of this rulebook.
A. Entry fees must be paid in SORS credits. No other
forms of payment will be accepted. Do not ask. Your request will be ignored.
B.
Registration for each event will close at
7:00 PM EST on the
day of the event. Once registration has been closed no more signups or
cancellations will be allowed.
3.
The field size for any Pro Cup race is
limited to 35 drivers.
5.
Pro Cup Series server settings will be as
follows:
A. 50% distance
B.
Yellows on.
C. Double file restarts OFF. Lap cars roll through pits 3rd
time by, restarting in the back.
D. Full pace lap.
E.
FIXED setups are used. The setup for the week’s race will be posted in
the SORS forums the week prior to the event.
F.
Hardcore mode on, except view.
G. Weather conditions will be set on 70 clear no wind.
6.
The Pro Cup Series season is 16 races
long. See the RACE SCHEDULE section of this
rulebook for the race schedule and dates.
7.
It is each driver’s responsibility to
make sure they fully understand the rules and only enter races in which they
are eligible for. Any driver who enters a race in which they are not eligible
for will forfeit all points and credits won as well as receive a 10 credit
fine.
VIII. TITAN CUP RACING SERIES
1.
The
Titan Cup Racing Series is a free series to all SORS members with a valid SORS
license. The events are held on Tuesday nights with the drivers meeting
starting at 8:15 PM EST. Qualifying will begin at 8:50 PM EST.
2.
Titan
Racing Series server settings will be as follows:
A. 50% distance for
all races.
B.
Yellows
on.
C. Full pace lap.
D. Single file
restarts.
E.
Open
setups
F.
Hardcore
mode on, except for view.
G. Weather conditions will be 70 degrees, Clear, No wind.
IX. BUYING A PRO CAR
1.
The field size for the Pro Cup series is
limited to 35 cars. Each car must be purchased
for 20 credits. All the money collected
from the sale of these cars is used to make up an end of year payout to the top
20 owners in points. Once all 35 cars
have been sold, no more will be offered and the series will be closed.
2.
The purchase of a car is good for 1
season only. Money is transferred to Pro
Cup Auctioneer via the SORS ATM. Once an
owner has transferred the money he may signup for the series use the SORS
League Manager. Owners from a previous
season get to keep their current numbers.
All other car number are first come first
serve.
3.
Owners have the right to sell their cars
to another party at any time during the season.
The cost of that car is entirely up to the current owner. This type of
transaction is done outside of SORS. When a car is transferred to another
owner, all the owners points associated with that car are transferred as well.
This is very important as it relates to qualifying. Once a car switches
ownership, the VP of Race Operations
MUST be notified immediately.
4.
There is no limit to the number of cars
an owner may buy.
8.
All credits received from the purchase of
cars will go towards an end of season payout to the top 20 teams in the point
standings.
A. The amount of the payout will depend on how credits
are collected through the auctions and re-purchasing of cars.
B.
The same formula used for race payouts
will be used for calculating end of season payouts, but the payouts will always
go 20 deep. It would be like saying there are 40 entrants in a race.
C. The following is an example of what the payout would
be if every car was bought for 15 credits:
1st place: 77.14
credits 2nd
place: 66.73 credits
3rd place: 57.72
credits 4th

X. Race Rules, Race
Officials, Incidents and Penalties
1.
The Pro Cup Series will have a Race
Official watching over the races. Their purpose is to enforce the rules and to
hand out any penalties as necessary.
2.
Yellow flags:
A. Once the yellow flag comes out, racing stops. There is
no racing back to the line! The field is frozen. Any car found advancing its
position on the track after the caution flag has been shown will be given a 1
lap penalty.
B.
If 2 cars are side by side when the
yellow comes out, the car on the inside gets the position with the car on the
outside falling in line behind that person.
Being on the inside means having the front of your car, up to the front
of the outside cars door.
C. If the race ends on a caution. The Race Officials will then go
back to the replay and find out who caused the yellow to come out, and that
driver will be placed to the tail end of the lap, on which that driver is on.
3.
Incidents causing cautions and the Race
Officials:
A. The Race Officials will make a judgment call on which
driver they think caused the incident that brought out a yellow flag. The
majority of Race Officials must agree on the incident, otherwise the incident
will be considered a “racing deal” and no penalty will be handed out.
B.
Once it has been agreed upon who caused
the incident, the Race Officials will post the information.
C. All judgment calls and penalties are at the Race
Officials discretion and final. They are not open to public debate.
D. Flaming of Race Officials or any other Admin during
the race or in the forums is not allowed. Violation of this rule will carry a
20 credit fine per flaming remark and can lead to suspension or expulsion at
the Admins discretion.
E.
If a driver or owner feels that he/she is
unfairly being singled out or that Race Officials are playing favoritism then a
grievance should be email to the SORS CEO Dennis
Putnam.
4.
Incident levels and penalties:
A.
All incidents determined
by the Race Officials and penalties handed out are final and must be followed.
Drivers not following the ruling will be ejected from the race and the owner
subject to a 20 credit fine (payable via the SORS ATM to SORS Fines). Race
Officials reserve the right to hand out multiple penalties to different cars.
B.
At
the start of every season all drivers will be in what is called a “two and done
situation” for the first three (3) races.
This means that a driver will be required to retire from the race after
causing two (2) cautions during a single race as determined by the Race
Officials. After the first 3 races the
cautions / event rankings will take effects.
See Section XIV.
C. Incidents:
1. There are 3 incident levels, each one
carrying a penalty. The levels are based
on the severity of the incident and other cars involved. All incidents determined by the race admins and penalties handed out are final and must be
followed. Drivers not following the
ruling will be ejected from the race and the owner subject to a 20 credit fine
(payable via the SORS ATM to SORS Fines).
Race admins reserve the right to hand out
multiple penalties to different cars.
The penalties do not have to be the same incident level.
I.
LEVEL
1 INCIDENT: This is an incident involving a “self-spin” that bring out the
caution flag, but does not involve any other cars. PENALTY: The driver must driver down pit road the 3rd
time by before the green flag and restart in the rear of the field. (NOTE:
SORS considers a failed “brake-stomp” to be a self spin).
II.
LEVEL
2 INCIDENT: This is an incident involving a “self-spin or brake stomp” that
collects or damages other cars as a result. PENALTY: The driver must drive down
pit road 3rd time by before the green flag and restart in the back of the
field. Once green flag racing resumes, the race admin will hand out a Black
Flag "Drive Through" penalty. Also said driver is not eligible to get
the Lucky Dog on the following caution, but will be able to get it after that,
if in position to get it.
III.
LEVEL 3 INCIDENT:
This is an incident in which 1 car clearly gets into
another car. This incident usually involves a car “punting” another car or
getting into another car because they could not hold a line on the track. (i.e. drifting up in the corner into another car). PENALTY:
The driver must drive down pit road 3rd time by before the green flag and
restart in the back of the field. Once green flag racing resumes, the race
admin will deduct two (-2) laps for the penalty. Also said driver is not
eligible to get the Lucky Dog on the following caution, but will be able to get
it after that, if in position to get it.
IV.
INTENTIONAL
WRECKING: If the race admins determine that a driver
intentionally wrecked another driver, then the driver will be ejected from the
race. If this is the first offense, the
owner must enter that car into the next 2 races, but not actually run in the
event. All owner points for those 2
races will be forfeited and he/she must pay a 20 credit fine (payable via the
SORS ATM to SORS Fines). A second
offense will lead to expulsion from the league for 1 year. License fees are non-refundable. Any outstanding fines will be considered due.
V.
HONOR
CALL: Any driver who admits fault for any incident
will be given 1 incident level lower than what was going to be originally
handed out for that incident, in no case will this be lower than a level 1
penalty. Note that said driver must make the call against themselves right after
the incident occurs.
D.
Fines double when
there are 25 or less laps left in the race.
E.
Fines MAY NOT be
debated or appealed. Any comments
regarding penalties during a race will be grounds for immediate rejection from
the event and a 15 credit fine.
5.
Starts and Restarts:
A. During a restart, there is no passing on the inside
until the exit of turn 2. Violators of this rule will receive a black flag
penalty handed down by a Race Official.
Drivers are allowed to pass on the inside during the start of the race,
but at no other time.
B.
There are no double file restarts. All
restarts will be single file with any car that is 1 or more laps down
restarting at the back of the field.
i. The lap prior
to taking the green flag “3rd time by”, all cars that are 1 or more
laps down MUST drive through the pits in order to restart at the end of the
field. Drivers do not need to pit
however, if you decide to pit you lose your track position. Failure to follow
this rule will result in a 1 credit fine per car that is behind the penalized
car and a black flag penalty. The
driver is allowed to let all cars behind to pass before the start/finish line
once the green flag is out without suffering any penalty if a driver forgets to
drive down through the pits before the restart.
6.
Lucky Dog Rule:
A. All cars 1 or more laps down will restart at the tail
of the field. When the caution flag comes out the field is frozen and all cars
stop racing. The first car in line that
is scored 1 lap down will be the lucky dog.
After the field is gathered up by the Pace car the driver will pass the
pace car during the 3rd time by lap and restart at the end of the
field (ignore your spotter!) Once the green flag is waved for the restart a
race admin will give the lucky dog his lap back and any black flags will be
cleared. If there are no cars 1 lap down then the car that is 2 laps down will
be lucky dog, etc.
B.
The Race Officials will let the drivers
know who the lucky dog will be.
C. If the caution is brought out by the driver who is
eligible for the lucky dog pass, then the lucky dog will pass to the next car
in line that is eligible to receive it.
D. If the lucky dog recipient is involved in the caution
and is taken out due to an accident then the lucky dog will pass to the next
car in line that is eligible to receive it.
E.
No lucky dog is awarded when there are
less than 10 laps left in the race.
7. Chatting:
A. No chatting during the race will be strictly
enforced. There will also be no chatting
during qualifying, violation of this rule is a 5 credit fine. Chatting may resume once the qualifying
session is over and happy hour begins.
B.
The only chat allowed will be with the
auto chat feature. These are Pass High, Pass Low, Pitting Pass High, Exiting
Pits Pass High, and are to be used during green flag racing only.
C. The exception to this is during the restart to let
drivers around know that you have to go to the end of the longest line (EOLL)
or if you are missing a gear. It is ok to alert drivers around you that there
is a problem with your car. Other than that no chatting will be tolerated.
D. No chatting during yellows either. The Race Admins
will be using open chat during the Yellows to issue instructions. Violation of
this rule will result in an ejection at the Race Officials discretion. The ONLY
people allowed to chat during a race are the Race Officials.
E. Whisper
chats to anybody except a race admin is also prohibited. It is necessary that a screen shot of the
whisper chat is captured and submitted to the VP of Race Operations. The fine for breaking this rule is 10
credits.
9. All Race
Officials decisions are final and are not subject to debate or discussion. We
realize that the Race Officials will not always be 100% correct in their
rulings, but they will strive to do the best job possible and to ensure their
rulings are consistent and that the league has clean racing. It is
understandable that there simply can not be a rule for every situation that may
occur during a race. As such, Race Officials have the right to improvise and
hand out incident penalties and/or fines for any action not listed herein.
Flaming of a Race Officials simply will not be tolerated and result in a 20
credit fine per flaming remark.
10. Connecting to the server during a race is
extremely disruptive to other drivers. Therefore the “2-ignition box” rule has
been implemented. Each server connection is treated like an ignition box and a
car only has 2. Regardless of the reason, should a driver be disconnected from
the server (ignition box failure) one reconnect is allowed. After the second
disconnect (second ignition box failure) the driver is prohibited from
reconnecting to the server even to watch the remainder of the race. Violations of
the “2- ignition box” rule will result in a 1-race suspension. The owner will
have to register the car, but not race in the event.
11. “Warping” is a condition where the connection
between the driver’s computer and the server is either too slow or has a high
error rate. To other drivers on the track that car appears to “warp” or
disappear from the track only to appear seconds later somewhere else (perhaps

“warping” is not unusual but repeated and/or frequent warping is the equivalent
of car electrical problems.
12. As with any electronic equipment it is possible
for the server to be effected as well. If a driver suspects a server problem
they should proceed to the Ventrilo drivers meeting
room and wait. If there is a server problem other drivers and an administrator
will soon enter the room to discuss and advise on how to proceed. It is the
driver’s responsibility to be available and obtain server failure instructions
or they will forfeit any possible right to protest.

risks (e.g. going 3 wide into turn one on lap one) will be subject to review by
the Race Officials and appropriate penalties assessed.
14. Be aware of pit road speed limits. Penalties for
speeding on pit road are enforced by the game but excessive and/or dangerous
maneuvers can result in additional penalties imposed by the Race Officials.

CAUTIONS PER EVENT RANKINGS
1.

that cautions be kept to a minimum. In real life racing, the threat of injury
and death are a real possibility. This fact alone causes drivers to race as
cleanly as possible. Although online racers try to race with respect and
caution, the risk of injury and death simply are not there so these drivers
tend to do things that they may not necessarily do if driving in a real
racecar. Due to
